the brainchild of babydoll for '03ers, this is a new thread on useful links and books for the biology course and options for you
add more as you feel necessary and i'll add them to this list
here are the original ones and i have a huge list to add once i have some time (hopefully b4 christmas)

::Books::
Heinemann Biology - very comprehensive; contains both Prelim and HSC course; HSC options available on internet
Jacaranda Biology - very comprehensive; Prelim and HSC books sold seperately
Success One Biology - contains many questions and STANSW past trial papers; useful revision

::past Papers::
Places you can find past papers (and some solutions) include:
Bored of Studies Biology resources page: particularly refer to the "general section".
Board of Studies: has the previous exam papers.

::Websites::
Bored of Studies - Student online community, resources, notes, past exams, UAI Calculator, ENTER Calculator, HSC - best website; regularly revised and updated; contains forum (you are here)
hsc.csu.edu.au/biology/index.htm - contains resources for core topics; options currently not available
(archive copy http://web.archive.org/web/20110716070405id_/http://www.hsc.csu.edu.au/)

The excel study guides are awsome.
I studdied using my sylabus (or how ever u spell it), my bio text book, and my excel book.
I got 2nd by half a mark in my recent half yearlies.
I deff recomend getting the excel book.

btw which is the better textbook jacaranda or heinemann? They were just described without any judgement made - or is there a better one out there?

i studied by class notes and school provided textbook and i'm first so far

if the format in the textbook is easy for you to understand you really don't need much else
all the info should be in there and if not your class teacher should have given you notes on them.

Incredibly useful :)

OK, here's a link to my notes.

The entire course is covered, along with the Biotechnology option and numerous typos.

This is hosted on an old computer of mine, and I don't think it will download any quicker than 10KB/sec
