Hi all,

This year I studied a bachelor of criminology at the lovely Western Sydney University achieving the following marks:

5.875 GPA
79 WAM
With an ATAR around 60 :'(

With these marks I've been given an offer to study Arts/Law at Macquarie University (which I'm super stoked about).

So, is it achievable to transfer to combined law at USYD/UNSW/UTS?

I've called around the different admissions centers and they haven't really give me a straight answer. Does anyone here have any first or secondhand experience with law transfers to these universities? If so, what were the marks needed?

Thank you in advance :)

I'm assuming you have only done 1 year's worth of your current degree so I'd say your chances are pretty slim for USyd and UNSW given your ATAR. Not sure for UTS law though, they tend to be easier on grades so you might have a chance.

USyd and UNSW require at least Distinction average (paired with at least 90+ ATAR (I think) if you've only done 1 year of uni) to be competitive. When you've done 1+ years of uni, then your ATAR doesn't come into play. USyd is a little easier on grades than UNSW, just FYI. From past experience, 80+ WAM got me BCom at UNSW, whereas USyd offered BCom(Lib).

Hope this helps and good luck! (Great comeback with the marks by the way!!)
