Hey my fellow UTS'ers,

I was wondering who here are one of those UTS people that promote the university and the courses at careers fairs, schools and the open days? What are the requirements to become one, is it fun and do you get paid? Oh and one more thing, what are they called? lOl !

sproUTS? (Faculty Student Promotional Representatives of UTS)

I know business and IT have this program.

Not Peer Network. I think it may be SproUTS too.

Peer Networkers did work at the Careers Fair but didn't promote their course etc. However there are similar opportunities e.g. in a few weeks I'm doing this U@UTS programme where we get to do wonderful, wonderful activities with year 10 students from the south west-ish area (Cabramatta, Canley Vale, Yennora, Bankstown and so on).

But do join Peer Network. One of the best things I've done at uni so far. Heaps of fun and great thing to have on your resume

I believe they take applications in around September? I am a sproUTS - though 4th year. I was one in 2nd year. They are usually aimed at people finishing first year, see how it goes.
