I have a sneaking suspicion that he's not talking about software.

I believe the iriver t20 has this functionality and is meant to be quite good for it, haven't dealt with it personally though, just from reading.

I'll have a look at the t20

or somehing that has a mic-in that can record to mp3.

then buy a zen or something... they let you record sound/audio. I have one, I havent used it to record anythigng as of yet but I know it has an option to.

acctually that has been discontinued and didn't record to MP3 anyway.

I've found an alternative solution to my problem.
