I'm hopping to get a transfer to a different uni next year.. but if not that a different course at UWS... What do I do with re-enrolment?
Personality clashes in the work place are one of my most common causes of dismissal and quitting. What happens if that happens when you get a job? Are you just gonna quit?
Even tho I am a noob on this forum I am amazed at how much ppl in their last year of high school/first year of uni know so much about uni and the work force. Amazing! Are you still using nappies or are you onto those pull ups?Not-That-Bright said:Personality clashes in the work place are one of my most common causes of dismissal and quitting.

Yes because dealing with people you dislike is a good skill, however it still stands that there is a point (for most people) where they will simply leave rather than put up with people... And of course if you don't have to put up with people... why would you?One of the first questions you get asked in behavioural interviews is to provide an example of when you had to work with ppl with attitudes that didnt agree with your own and how you dealt with it. I am pretty sure that 'I ran away crying' isn't the response that interviewers are looking for.

I dunno, i just think that its a bit panzy. You should never give up on something you want to do because of somebody else.Not-That-Bright said:Yes because dealing with people you dislike is a good skill, however it still stands that there is a point (for most people) where they will simply leave rather than put up with people... and it stil amazes myself and others both at uni and in public how people who are older automatically assume they know everything and we know nothing..texta83 said:Even tho I am a noob on this forum I am amazed at how much ppl in their last year of high school/first year of uni know so much about uni and the work force. some of the behaviour of uni students is disgraceful too..they would never get away with it in the workplace -Not-That-Bright said:Yes because dealing with people you dislike is a good skill, however it still stands that there is a point (for most people) where they will simply leave rather than put up with people... Ur totally right with the whole uni project thing. But in the long run the ppl who put in the work end up better off, cause u actually learnt something.
To be wise is to know that you know nothing.
yeh i don't mean those assignments coz its clear when someone hasn't done the work... or when its just one person whose a jerk..texta83 said:Nearly every group project I have done at uni has had at least one bum that didnt do their work. Some coordinators have some sort of presentation and question time after a group project to determine who has bludged. It sux heaps when u have to work 2 times as hard because somebody is bludgin. I guess what I am saying is that you just gotta deal with it, its part of uni. Some ppl enjoy wastin money on uni so that they can go to the bar. Why don't they just quit uni and go to some chatty bar and save the money?
yeh i don't think i got anythin that involves peer assessment anytime soon at least...natstar said:OMG I know what you mean. I had a group assignment that I practically did myself. 1 girl forgot it was due and didnt do anything. And the others, even though I like them heaps as people, were pretty dumb and I had to re-write their parts. I just have standards when it comes to group work. Thank god for peer assessment though
