weird virus help (1 Viewer)

i am getting some problems.

before i had the problem in my shared folder fo ares. i had been tryin to dl some cs maps from there and probbly downloaded a virus then. from then everytime i would open the shared folder my explorer.exe process would go nuts, ie - 98% cpu usage.

so i deleted the folder in anticipation that the virus would be cured. and i think it was. until now, where programs have started being unistalled. its very bizzare. my desktop is full of missing shortcuts. and yes the prgrams are definately not on my computer anymore.

any help will be appreciated.

edit: i have windows sp2, running avg, spybot, adaware and hijackthis...which checed out to be ok.

do u know what other processes are running?

and was explorer.exe fine b4 opening up your shared folder?

yep. explorer.exe was fine before i would open the shared folder.

other processes running? not sure what you mean. here are my processes currently.

You may also try running Spybot S&D, Adaware and any antivirus programs
