I am a humanities person and love history, languages, writing, sociology, cultures. I also have interests in some science subjects such as human biology, geology, volcanology.
However I am afraid to pick a humanities degree as many are too general e.g. bachelor of arts
The humanities degrees aim to teach critical thinking, analysing, communication skills however this will not guarantee a job.
what are some good humanities degrees and majors in humanities?
Is it more useful to do a language than major in history?
Also what are the job opportunities for archaeology?
What I'm looking for is a job at the end of a job. I need to be realistic. I'm not sure if I want to do teaching, I was thinking more a government job, or a job where I travelled, or a communication and media job where I did something journalistic, or a job in politics or an international organisation in politics, security, peace, political affairs or international relations.
I'm looking for a job with a steady and sufficient pay where I'm not struggling to make ends meet.
