human traits are given to things like trees? I know that personification is giving objects, and anthromophism(?) is giving human traits to animals, but what about trees?

well i have always been told that giving non-human objects or things human like qualities is personification

hence, giving a tree human like qualities is alos personification

for example, the tree danced in the wind

Like in Wind in the Willows you have all those talking animals?

If so that's called Anthropomorphism.

Pathetic fallacy is when the weather reflects human emotion.

E.g. how many times have you seen a heartbroken girl staring by the window as there's rain/drizzle?

OR, it can also be when someone endows an inanimate object with human feelings. ;)
