Hey guys,
I'm in Year 12 and I'm so stressed about whether I should drop a subject??
I do Maths Adv, Eng Adv, legal, business, pdhpe and did sorii accelerated and got a band 6.
So now I feel like I have to drop a subject so I have more time to spend on my remaining subject, and I also need like a 99 atar in my course, and if I decide to drop something It will be business?
Should I drop business? Any thoughts on anything else I should do instead?

imo 10 units (what u have now since u did acc religion) seems doable. I managed 11 units with plenty of time for study and wtv I want. I say keep all your subjects for now as its a good fail-safe, but if u rly want to drop one, drop wtv subject u get the worst mark in on ur next assessment. Js make sure not to bottle it badly lmao.

If your concerned abt scaling,I think pdhpe is ur worst scaling subject (I might be wrong tho). Also what course r u interested in if u dm me asking?

noooo business is lowkey free marks. legal is the most effort imo so i would probs drop that

hey guys i need some advice please!!!

so last yr I sat the hsc and got 93.6 in investigating and 89.5 in adv math. this yr I'm doing bio, pdhpe, adv english, sor1, and chem. BUT I'm so unsure on whether or not I should drop pdhpe since then I'll have so many free periods and want to make the best decision to get the highest atar possible for me.

i go to a catholic school so I have to keep sor1 otherwise I have to do a non-atar religion course. so really my only option is to drop pdhpe since I don't want to drop science since I want to do med after school. but at the same time I came 3/70 at school.... so I kinda did good???!

by the way these are the rest of my ranking
english - 5
bio - 1
chem - 1
sor1 -1

like some people say pdhpe scales bad but some say it scales good?? so I'm really unsure on what I should do right now can someone please give me some advice

dw about scaling. Do u think u can maintain a high rank and good mark in pdhpe? Thats all that matters tbh. Seeing as you've already done 2 subjects (4 units), you'll be doing 7 Units, or 9 including pdhpe, which gives you either 14 or 8 study periods if I'm correct... which is more than enough if u use them effectively. I'd keep pdhpe if I did well and can continue to do well. As for the scaling part, NESA only take your 10 BEST units. So even if pdhpe scales or does badly, they prolly wont count it. Including pdhpe and what u did last year, your sitting on 13 units giving u room to move for 3 units/a bad grade in 3 of ur units wont be as detrimental.
