What should i focus on? (1 Viewer)

I have accellerated ext 1 and 2 maths which i am completing the hsc for this year but i still have to sit prelims for yr 11 bio, adv english, chem and physics. Should i just focus solely on my year twelve subjects and not study for my year 11 subjects? I'm not really sure how much time I should spend for each subject. Could I have some advice on this please?

thats tough... have you done the trials for your maths subjects yet?

are there any year 11 subjects you feel confident enough in that you could focus on other subjects?

no trials is in the first couple weeks of next term. I feel pretty confident in chem and in physics but less so in english and bio

hrmmm... well, unfortunately I'm not sure what your best course of action is,
but I guess a starting point is to focus on the year 12, and if you're feeling more confident in those, then do some english and bio revision...

I would focus more on year 12 stuff cause that will count towards ur hsc. Year 11 doesn’t really matter unless u want early entry but if I ace year 12 u won’t even need it. If u have some extra time then work on ur weaker subjects. But just set out some time for ur year 11 subjects too so that u aren’t spending al ur time on ur accel subjects

can you fucking drop bio... also why would u do ext 1 and ext 2 accelerated, u literally making ur year 12 boring cause now u just do shitty boring writing subjects. Would have been wiser to get shitty english and the other subjects out of the way instead to focus on extension 1 and 2

bro they have Chem and physics too so it's not all writing subjects

if you accelerate one subject let alone 2 or 3, by the time you get to year 12 you can basically nap your way through the rest of hsc without compromising your atar. I used to have up to 4 free periods a day (sometimes 5) in year 12 which was far from boring I could grind my remaining subjects watch tv shows and yap with my friends all year

your school decides what subjects you can accelerate so I don’t think they had a choice

anyways I would recommend like a 70/30 time split between studying hsc vs prelim subjects

Now I wish I accelerated but the only accel subject my school offers is math and I obv wouldn’t be able to do that
