I missed my yr 12 info night..

What is "UAI"

How does it work, etc..

No one has yet explained this to me >.<

a uai is stands for University Admissions Index

It's a rank, according to subject scaling, your achievement in the HSC, and compared to people who did the School Certificate in Year 10.

yeah you do, you apply on the net/phone... but that doesn't happen to well into the year. You will get notified by your school repeatedly too, so don't worry.

You will also receive a UAC book (which comes in the middle of the year too) that would make applying, choosing courses etc much easier.

Are you Year 12 2005? You'll get them well into 2005.

I chose really crappy subjects cause i wasnt informed on how they would effect my results...

they do effect your uai, but as long as you do your best and do really well, you'll be fine.

They say a lot of creative subjects get you scaled down etc. They do, but do well and you can get 99. The dux at our school few years back did Dance, Visual Arts and D&T (creative scaling down subjects) plus 4u English.... and got 99 as her UAI...

Just do your very best. You must've chosen those subjects based on interest, enjoyment and experience... so I think that would've been the best way to choose them in order to perform your very best.

well it might be early days (i forget..). speak to your teacher immediatley.. you should have done this earlier but try. See if you can change it around etc, and if that fails, speak to your principal.... get your parents to write a letter. Sometimes it may be way too late...

Yeah a lot of that scales down, but as long as you're dedicated, you'll do fine...
