So far the only work we've been assesed on in Extension 1 English has been out-of-class assesment tasks, however for the first time next week, we'll be doing an in-class assesment. I'm currently studying crime fiction, and I'm not sure exactly what to expect... The core text we've been focusing on up until this point has been 'The Real Inspector Hound'. I've read several pieces of additional material, but considering this task isn't actually assesable towards the H.S.C. I think I'm probably going to take the easy way out and focus on using 'Murder on the Orient Express' as my support.
What can I expect from this exam? What should I prepare for? Should I focus on generic conventions, or on 'The Real Inspector Hound' as a text?
