Hey all,

Can anyone tell me what I should be (specifically) studying

eg: rape of nanking

Please help.

what topics do you do? germany and conflict in the pacific?

btw, can i just say (i speak from experience here) - LEARN AS MUCH AS YOU CAN ABOUT EVERYTHING.

i assumed my trial would be about:
1) collapse of weimar
2) nazi foreign policy
3) culture/volksgemeinschaft
and neither question was on any of that...so i studied the wrong stuff in detail and was sufficiently screwed.

for WWI i also assumed that it could only be
1) total war
2) changing attitudes
i did a tiny bit of stalemate, too, which was lucky because the question was about the use of technology in breaking the stalemate. didn't know enough, though.

so, um, my modern trial was a complete fiasco - i bullshitted like crazy, invented historians and quotes and sat there on the verge of tears, hoping to wake up from the nightmare.

moral of the story: never assume, learn it all =P hardly helpful, but you seriously never know.

Germany:
"evaluate the importance of Hitler's leadership to the consolidation of the Nazi regime from 1933-39"

"assess the impact of total war on Germans from 1939-45"

sorry, didn't do speer so i don't remember the qus.

Pacific: (couldn't do either of the CSSA ones)
"account for the US, British and Dutch response to the rise of Japanese militarism" (mmhmm..no date...my teacher is a fuckwit)
