We're doing pride and prejudice and i am reallly enjoying it. maybe cause we just finished macbeth and I really did not like it.
Dont know how i will cope with King Lear next year:(

umm term 1 our aos was australian identity - aboriginal experience
term 2 - text/context - Taming and 10 things
this term - critical - war poetry :|

term 1 we did changing perspectives and changing self
term 2 'ways with words' focus on satire
term 3 we're doing macbeth :(

im doing war poetry right now. 1st topic was alienation and belonging (so gay) and our last one was language of everyday australia which was a bludge.

Shakespeare's plays are all pretty unique, you sympathise with some characters more than others and stuff..

Tragedies are a bit heavy, but they are interesting ;)

In 2U english we've done topic learning and Experiance ' I heard the Owl call my Name', um Power which was 'Richard III' and are doing recording at the moment 'Memoirs of a Gesiha' which is a pretty good book to study...
I prefer the ext texts though causes we did 10 Things and Taiming and at the moment we are doing Pygmalion and My Fair Lady which is great

Ug, that was the only Shakespearen play I hated. lol

Term 1 we did AOS - Change in general
Term 2 we did Tragedy and compared Othello and The Great Gatsby (worst term of my life in Eng!)
Term 3 we are doing Australian Poetry

ie.. thats 10thing and taming thing... unlike us who were just thrown into emma/clueless having no idea what to expect

We havent. Well right now we are doing pride and prejudice comparing it to bridgets jones diary.
But we did all our compartives in extension english

isnt that a comparitive study? like ur doing it.. like hehehe... i'm sure theres heaps of notes on the net on them two since it was last years hsc list thingy.. ask ur yr 12 friends for notes wen theyre done

i know ours is a comparative study but thats what im saying... we have never had a practice doing it so it is good for you people doing 10thing/taming or bridget/pride because you will know what to expect and look for next year
