Ok this is a stupid question but how can these ranks affect my uai?? and by how much...if i improve can these be disregarded

The ranks are used to determine the relative differences between students in your year. The moderated assessment marks comes from the -pool- of marks that your year has after doing the HSC external exam.

So your rank plays an important part in determining your -internal- assessment marks and thus plays an important part in your UAI. At this stage in school, i don't think you can really improve your rankings as most assessment tasks -should- or have been completed by now. All you can do now is have a strong performance in the HSC exam.

You need to provide marks as well as ranks for an appropiate UAI prediction.
