When did you get a home Internet connection? (1 Viewer)

So when did you get connected to the Internet? My family first got connected in August 1999. I know we were a little late to get started but I know some people at school who are still not connected. Now it is your turn.

i think it was around 1996/97 or maybe 97/98? i cant remember. i remember there was no such thing as an unlimited plan.

Then I was with Ozemail, and OneNet, and Flex (Asia Online), then Telstra, and finally Telstra BigPond Cable (since 99-03)

i needed it for high school
we were on a bigpond 3hrs a month plan. lol, so gay.

also had, free-net/go connnect during this time aswell.

Can't remember when it was, but it was when we bought our Apple PowerPC 6200, as that had a card that gave us 1 hour free!
(1996 maybe?)

But mum had one at school long before that, and we used to drag the 9600bps modem home for holidays...

Hmmm dial-up in 93 or 94... cable in (I think) 2000.

Cable was sweet as in 2000. Like unlimited downloads and really fast speeds.

Now it sucks

well i was living in HK, and coz my dad works in a computer company, so our family had internet connection since um..about 1993

I got my dial up in late year 9, then midway through year 10 i got Cable, and still have it

97 for dail up had mpx.. then went to telstra staff plan..
then was one of the first people connected to cable internet when it became unlimited then the bastards put a cap on it

got dialup in 95 with my 28.8k modem... cant remember the company

had telstra adsl for abt 2 yrs till i went 300 bux over limit one month n decided i needed more space for less cash so now ive been with iinet 16gb for 79.95 for abt a month now
