I remember for foundations we had to start reading before classes started... but i don't have any books yet :S

That and there's no indication yet of what books we should get.

I emailed Prof Barbara McDonald (the convenor for Torts) a while ago about the texts she recommends for pre-reading.

The recommended text is the third edition of Balkin and Davis Law of Torts in Australia published by Butterworths.
The prescribed casebook is Swanton Cases on Torts 3 rd edition but it is
probably easier to read a textbook first than tackle cases on your own.
So I suppose it won't hurt to get your hands on those two a bit earlier and... flip through them a bit. :)

How would we know what to read in it anyway? I mean surely we wouldnt be doing the whole casebook?

exactly what i was thinking... maybe the copy centre will hand out one of those uos booklets with questions etc like for foundations.. :confused:
