Hi,
My goal is to graduate with an econ, econ/law, arts/law, commerce/arts or commerce/pysch degree from a university which will maximise my starting salary. I got an atar in the mid 80s and got into arts at usyd and commerce/applied finance at macquarie.
Which option is the easier one if I want to transfer to straight econ or arts/commerce after half a year (or a year) of study? Is the atar lower for mid-year entry since there is less demand?
P.S. I am doing everything in arts as I would in an econ degree (ecmt, econ, pysch etc). Only the name is different. Meanwhile, I am focusing more on accounting at macquarie though I am still doing micro/macro etc.
P.P.S. If I can only apply through UAC, doesn't it mean there is no advantage in applying for an internal transfer at usyd?
