has anyone ever seen one work.. does it work

Generally rumoured to occur when silence is recorded.

Of course it's bullshit, but what can you do.

Yes, except ouija boards are fun and have some sort of popular history, whereas White Noise is on par to UFO spotting.

You hear about all this phenomena all the time, we've just attuned ourselves to believe it's crap. But why would people watse their time telling the same stories over and over again. There must be some truth to it.

Personally, I've never taped white noise but I'd like to actually hear some of it. There's actually some guy who reckons that the white noise is actually the noise our brain makes when it's really quiet. I don't know how that would happen if the room is empty though. Mysteries, conspiracies whatever.

Not really, I could another more serious example, but I think I'm hated enough already.

In any case, people waste their time with a lot of crap- people like to give their silly lives purpose by thinking there are ghosts/g-d, et al. It must be noted that a lot of these people aren't tricking the world, they honestly believe in what they're doing. YOu'd have to talk to one to fully understand it, I think.

I really dislike John Edwards, though. If he was pretending to see ghosts, I wouldn't care, but when he gives people false hope about their loved ones... I dunno.

I was going to compare it to religion, but I though that wouldn't be judicious.

i just watched about half of this movie. Scared the shit out of me. It really affects me tho, coz im into all that communicating with the dead and stuff. OHHH freaky

White noise is a 7/10 film. The ending has no real justification. I had to look on that endingspoilers website to find out the meaning of how it concluded because it was confusing and strange.

Anyway, E.V.P. does not work, it's bullshit. You see, all they do is get wierd methods of obtaining random pictures of light and objects, and then when they see something they fit it the picture in a puzzle.

For example if you were to look at this picture and see this girl crying -

A typical E.V.P. event would involve a very small picture of lets say, what appears to be a pillar with a ring pattern on it. They would conclude that this is the middle finger of the girl with the ring.

And it's not just a conclusion, it's actually waiting for a perfect match. Why people do this is the same reason why people think John Edwards is real, and why people think psychics are real... and why people think star signs are real...

P.S - The film isn't that scary. There are maybe one or two 'jump' parts but this doesn't compete in the scary factor league. Hell, the Silent Hill series scared me a billion times more than this movie ever could...

I watched this movie last night. I have to say that it was pretty crap. It did scare me when I was watching it, but only because of the anticipation of things jumping out of the screen of the tvs and stuff.

As for EVP, it might happen, however, it's really hard to say what you get is from the dead, because we all interpret things differently. What I might think is a nice message, you might think is an aggressive message.

Anyhoo have to go, and return that crap movie,.
