While UAC ratifies the validity of your problems from the EAS form, each university individually decides if you are eligible for EAS with them. EAS can take the form of either allocation or bonus points. Bonus points are fairly simple - you just deduct a certain amount of points from any cut-off for that uni. Allocation works on the basis that EAS applicants compete for a place based on their UAI which can be a set number below the cut-off, this generally means more competitive courses like Law or Medicine might typically have an EAS cut-off only slightly lower than the usual, whereas and Arts or Education or Nursing degree might have an EAS cut-off maybe 10 points lower than normal
