No. I do not live in Regional or Rural Australia. I am not an International Student. I am not economically disadvantaged, and have no dealings with CentreLink. I am not Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. I am not a Refugee. I have no relatives that work at a university, and my parents studied overseas. I am not a sporting hero. I do not have a long-term disability. And, no. Quite frankly, I'm not getting an ATAR above 98 (thanks for reminding me that I'm not superhuman).
That said, I would still like to think that I'm a pretty great person who deserves a scholarship for something. Seriously, anything. I don't think that any of the scholarships that I am eligible for don't have something in the fine print saying something to the effect of "Students with an economic disadvantage or who have suffered from a long-term hardship will be granted special consideration in the awarding of this scholarship".
I'M DOING THE HSC! IS THAT NOT HARDSHIP ENOUGH??
Perhaps you understand my frustration. Share your thoughts, and PLEASE! If you know of any Scholarships offered at a University in Sydney that fit my criteria (of being average, but kinda awesome) LET ME KNOW!
