HSC was not very creative with these questions. Whilst the topic itself has a lot of nuance, it was not well reflected in the final exams. Lots of the geometry could be exploited through out of syllabus means which also could result in inequitiesI know that it is covered slighty within the vectors topic within 3u and 4u but why did NESA remove geometry in general? I feel like this is an elegant topic which can help with critical thinking.

Oh ok, thank you for clearing that up.HSC was not very creative with these questions. Whilst the topic itself has a lot of nuance, it was not well reflected in the final exams. Lots of the geometry could be exploited through out of syllabus means which also could result in inequities
Cause this is a rote learning topic. I'm actually glad they removed itI know that it is covered slighty within the vectors topic within 3u and 4u but why did NESA remove geometry in general? I feel like this is an elegant topic which can help with critical thinking.

I'm also sure if you're doing something math related vectors and statistics will appear again. Euclidean geometry definitely will not.Something had to be kicked out when you bring in vectors and statistics into an already crowded syllabus.
