Will my old transcript affect my opportunities? (Transferred internally) (1 Viewer)

I studied Eng/Sci for 2 years at Maq Uni and subsequent internally transferred to a Finance/Sci (Statistics) degree. My GPA from my Eng/Sci degree was 2.0/4 (Exactly pass) with a lot of fails (mainly FA) on my transcript. However, in my current degree I'm siting at 3.4/4, with no fails. I got 7 credit transfers when changing degrees.

I'm looking to do a Masters in Statistics once I finish but also want look for an internship next year, but I'm wondering if my previous degree's transcript (which is also shown on my current transcript) will affect my chances when looking for internships/graduate jobs or when applying for my masters?

Well you've shown improvement so clearly they would look at your current degree more closely

That's great to hear, got pretty worried since my transcript looks so dirty.

They will definitely see the fails and stuff but they usually acknowledge improvement and will base their decision on your recent marks
