wireless internet help plz! (1 Viewer)

hi i just recently got a wireless router for my laptop.

i connected the DLINK i think thats what the router is called to the phone line and my laptop established a wireless connection.. however, i cant use any internet applications what so ever..

can someone plz give me tips on how 2 fix the problem or what could be wrong ?

Does the wrouter have a built in modem?

im pretty sure.. well it says this on the package

"High-Speed ADSL-2/2+ Modem 4-Port Switch and built-in 802.11g Wireless Router"

Have you set up the connection type, username/password, etc?

nope.. i assumed it was automatically the same as my other computer cos it says im connected on the wireless network

Yeah. It says your connected to a wireless network.
That doesnt mean your connected to the internet.

Open your web browser and type "http://10.1.1.1" in the address bar.
Default name and password is usually "admin"
Then change your connection settings to that which your ISP provided to you.
