wireless keyboards and mice help (1 Viewer)

hey a friend of mine got a computer and it has a wireless keyboard and mouse shes had it for a while and still cant figure out how to get them to work does anyone know how to set them up?
it would be much appreciated if you could help thanks

You should have some sort of receiever station. This plugs into the keyboard and mouse ports at the back of the computer (the ports/cords should be colour coded).

Then put in batteries, install any relevant software and she should be up and running.

Any information on brand/model would be great, we could probably find the manual online.

all i know is that its an acer aspire computer im not sure if she got any ports or anything ill have to ask her later thanks for that help though, ill report back when i know more about it thanks,

Install the software, plug in the USB dongle, make sure your wireless devices are powered by appropriate batteries and things should be right. If not, try recalibrating the signal. Usually this just involves pressing such a button at the back of your mouse/keyboard/USB dongle. Also make sure you are within the specified operational range of the wireless desktop set. If you're using a desktop set based on laser technology, make sure there are minimal interferences. For example, even a CRT monitor between your wireless mouse and the USB dongle can cause it to work inproperly.
