Working in the US or UK straight after graduation (1 Viewer)

I will be completing my post grad Law degree in the middle of 2009 (including PLT).

My query is whether you guys think that overseas firms (such as the USA and UK) would be interested in employing a graduate with no / little post admission experience. Am i dreaming? or is it a realistic possibility?

Of course, I understand that getting some post admission experience here in Australia would be beneficial, but am wondering whether it is as good as required before looking at moving overseas with a reasonable expectation of success...

Thanks for any advice / opinions you may wish to share...

One of the girls in my PLT class this year went straight to London for a 2 year training contract when she graduated in June, so it's definitely possible. Pretty sure it was a Magic Circle firm too, although I forget the name.
