LiteStep replaces the whole winXP
shell and introduce its own super flexible shell.
Once LiteStep's shell is activated (note: windows must restart) then you may enjoy a very broad range of
themes and visual styles impossible to be matched by winXP's original shell.
System requirements can get extremely high however, when multiple transparencies have to be processed at once.
I personally don't use it on my PC since it's so slow, but install it on a 64-bit or high-performance 32-bit system and it should run fine.
