Your parents at university? (1 Viewer)

Out of just plain curiosity, I'm wondering whether anyone else here had parents did a university degree here in NSW?

As for me, my father did BCom at UNSW.

My dad did law at UNSW and then transferred to USYD or sumfin...then he did arts at MQ i think...

Now i get to hear about how he got into law at UNSW but I cant...

My mum did her teaching degree at Newcastle Uni.... same as what I'm doing, but it's a different course now, obviously.. she was only there for 3 years and I'm about to start my fourth...

My parents didn't go past year 10. So of course, I exceeded their expectations when I decided to do year 11.

I am now currently in my final year in Commerce and they're like "WOAH!!"

Who would do a law degree and then an arts degree?

That's akin to doing medicine and then doing teaching.

Dad did bachelor of electrical engineering with honours at UTS.

Mum did nursing before you needed a degree, so she went straight to college after year 10, then into the RAAF. She did a postgraduate thing last year (even though she has no degree) at the school of nursing.

Dad went straight into the RAAF from year 12, and later did a degree in IT or something like that at Macquarie, but he didn't finish it.

Grandpa was a professor of engineering. He built dams and stuff.

Both parents did undergrad (pharmacy) in New Zealand. Dad did masters, phd @ Usyd and buffalo, not sure where mum did her phd, but spent time in buffalo.

Dad graduated with Law and something at UNSW and after, a bit here and there of something when he had the free time.

Both my parents went to Uni in New Zealand, it's where they met.

My dad WORKS at Newcastle Uni, where I'm going to be studying for the next 4 years.... on the plus side, I can con him into buying me lunch!!
