Okay, I know people always say that reaching the cut off or being above the cut off doesn't always necessarily mean that you will get into the course. To what extent is this actually true?

so far my marks have ranged between 73%-80%, i'm ranked 15/45 and i can't remember what we were ranked last year, but in 2008 we were like 55ish i think? what type of mark do you think i'd be getting in the externals? i really need like mid band 5 at the very least... i don't really know what to...

our class only JUST finished the core and now making notes for it is virtually impossible, there is such an unnecessary amount of content for a source based course... so yes i'm just thinking aloud.
