USYD states that "any viewing of your timetable may re-allocate all your classes."

Does anyone know why? It seems awfully dangerous, if you know what I mean.

Yeah it doesn't really tend to do that too much in my experience

Especiallly when you've got your blocked out periods up

Just a question for changing the timetable

Up To Two Time Periods Off

Day Start Time Duration

So we choose the day we might want off.. - Then we choose from what time we want off right? Then how long we want off?

Are we allowed to do that now?
You can do it once you get a timetable before/during O-Week

You can only choose one of the options. So you can either

-Completely block one day out

or

-Block two periods of time off, whcih may be on separate days.

So...which would you choose? It seems like it's a choice between 4 packed days at the uni or 5 days that are more spaced out, is that right?

Uh...well it depends what degree you're doing, when your classes are on and how many classes you have.

Both options have their value - you just have to wait and see what your timetable looks like to know which is going to be more useful for you.

... I thought it was pretty self-explanatory.

You can play around with your timetable as much as you want, so even if you don't get something suitable the first time, eventually you will end up with a timetable you like/can tolerate.

I would say though that the first time you get something good, think really hard about whether you want to try for something better, you might get screwed over and wish you'd just gone with that first half decent option (happened to me last year). Then you either have to wear it or grow old in the line to have it changed manually @ uni ;)
