America's awesome. I also think it's a load of crap that you can't open yourselves to anyone without learning a language
I'm not saying you can't, but it breaks down so many barriers when you do. A lot of people know English, but if you know their language, you can talk on the same wavelength as them, relate to them better. I've hosted Japanese people who visited our school, and they were so much more sociable, even in an English conversation, when you even try to say (even if you stumble) some words in Japanese. I'm focusing on Asia so I kinda said that with my own idea in mind.
