how do you guys feel about receiving your marks back only to find out your equal first?

i'm a very competitive person by nature and i know totally that the other person deserved the mark they got, the thing going through my head is that this person beat me in the last assessment task by 1 mark, which was worth i think 20%, this is worth 25% and getting 1 mark on them will put me in front of the course...

i know it seems a bit seedy to want an extra mark so badly, just wondering what are your guys thoughts on this type of situation ?

Well coming first is good, but i think it might be a bit late to get the paper re-checked if they were handed back to you...

Also, you can always study harder for the next one and then get 2 more marks then the other person putting you in the lead by 1 mark :D

lol
go through it yourself and if you find anything 'appealable' go for it
but seriously, you can grab a leg up next assessment, there's still 55% left

though even if you beat him in this assessment by 1 mark, he might turn the tables around, there's so much chancey stuff it isn;t funny

People like the OP make me want to punch babies. BUT, they do provide motivation. SO, as others have suggested, if you find plausible means to apply for more marks, then do so. What do you have to lose? A few minutes? Boo-hoo.

^ I would think that the OP is insecure and fears rejection. FEAR NOT OP, FOR IT IS HUMAN NATURE.

Hah, I'm gonna ask to get my English remarked. Dumbshit teachers = bullshit marks.
