The previous thread of "What do you hate about Mq?" showed that there was some substantial :burn: ... So, just wondering whether there's any ?

To start the ball rolling;

- the students; generally, are very friendly and helpful and if you ask them nicely they will let you go in front of them if you are desperate to print your assignment 5 minutes before the deadline
- trees; there's quite a few of them on campus (clearly, I couldn't think of another dot point...)

10min bus ride i hate u:p

takes me 2 hours from when i leave too when i walk in. gg lol.
If it is any comfort it takes me 2 hours via public transport to get to Mq too... that's four hours each uni day spent being squished against various human bodies on overcrowded carriages/buses + admiring the various smells of humanity... not to mention the drunkards, weirdos and the dangerous on non-peak hour trains...:spin:

i like how mq threads copy unsw threads :p
Perhaps, I should just let this comment pass... but clearly, to "copy" requires knowledge of the thing we are accused of copying... and quite obviously, we have better things to do than to stalk unsw threads... seriously...

Anyhow, the above comment sounded harsh... it was typed with a :haha: (sarcasm and tone are so flat when typed...)

Location and parking! (15-20 minutes drive from my house in no traffic + close to Mac Center so if you need to pop into the shops during a break you can)
Generally friendly students
Pretty, well maintained grounds

10 Things I love about MQ:

1. I Lecture. I am lazy and can't be bothered going to lectures, so it's a godsend.

2. The food court is okay.

3. It's across from the shops.

4. The library is pretty good.

5. The staff and students are pretty nice.

6. Transportation is fairly good, although I am not used to taking a bus. My parents make me take the bus every morning, and I got driven every day at primary school and high school.

7. Flexible hours.

8. Chris Lilley went there.

9. Some people are decent looking.

10. I know quite a few people there.

-Trees.
-Ducks.
-Gorgeous curry girl in my ACCG340 tutorial.
-Thai Kiosk.

Oh, and the way the campus changes from season to season... bright, warm and green in the summer, leaves fall and crunch under your feet in the autumn, the ivy on the Macq Theatre dies for the winter, groups of fluffy baby ducks swimming in the lake mid-Spring, etc.

2. The Library is pretty good
3. Most people are quite friendly
4. It's like a 5 min walk to Macquarie Center (Krispy Kreme anyone?)
5. The lake, it's pretty.
