Hi guys, i've been searching and searching on the internet and various forums on how to connect an Xbox 360 to a laptop in order to play games.

I've found lots of different methods, and most of them say you need an External TV tuner/adapter etc... just lots of random stuff

I just bought the 'HP Pavilion dv7 Entertainment Notebook PC', and it is an amazing laptop. It has an inbuilt tv tuner, and other nifty features through its media player,
just could someone help me out on what to exactly do?

habib why wuld i steaal it for bro...
:blah:

17.3" HD screen
im noob with specs... Vista, 4gig RAM, 32 bit, big hard drive - C+D are 900GB
umm yeh..

and to snowfox, im gonna head to jbhi fi tommorow, i dont know the name of the adapter, but it basically it connects to the laptop, and you place the AV cables for the xbox in it, like doing with the tv.

Then, people say u need an external tv tuner, so u can pretty much pick up the channel like on tv for the game, AV1, game, AV2 etc..

My laptop has inbuilt tv tuner so i will look at it,

but if it works i will tell ya wat to do!

woah dont spend $100 bucks on that, the money for that is not really for the adapter alone, but yes! thats what the adapter looks like... tell me, when i first bought my 360, one of the gadgets that came with it was a small plug with the red, yellow, and white adapter holes... it looks like it would go in a computer, do u know what im on about? Do u know what it is for lol

DVI Connection.

Ultimately, im not entirely sure laptops can be used as a monitor, without forking out the monies. You can get an internal AV card for a PC and plug the 360 into that, or do as my friend did and splurged on a $300 HD TV/PCmonitor.
