i lost motivation to study because my internal ranks are so upsetting

my question is
if you have crap internal rankings, can you still get ATAR in the 80s?
my school rank was in the 50s in 2008 and 60s in 2007, it's always around that range
and for english and maths i'm below average, bio and eco are just averge
and i'm only doing well in ancient history
i have 10 units

can i still get atar in the 80s if i tried hard from now to the hsc?

i'm even thinking about repeating year 12 from term 4

thanks

hmm my ranks arent upsetting. my marks are though, except 1 or 2 subjects.
so i have no idea what that means for me.
im doing well compared to my cohort at school but i dont know if thats enough for the HSC.

dw im probably below average for bio also :(

only solution is to work hard for HSC and move on
+1

Remember that your final mark is 50% your school mark and 50% your actual HSC aligned mark. If you ace the HSC exam, it'll do wonders for your marks and if youa re ranked badly, just encourage those above you to do well so they'll drag you up XD

It'll be hard, but not entirely impossible. Just work your arse off now and you will probably surprise yourself!

If your ranks are good, your internal marks will be moderated based on your HSC performance. So once again, just ace your HSC exams :jedi:

Only your rank and the mark gaps between you and those above you as these are used in conjunction with the HSC external results to moderate the internal marks.

So don't give up hope! I thought i screwed 2U maths last year because of internals but i didn't up hope and got a good mark in the end anyway XD
