Hey Guys,

I was wondering, based on past trends, would anyone know what marks one would need to attain in order to achieve a state ranking in business studies (I think it's the Top 20 that gets listed in a 2-unit subject).

Yer for business studies it would be top 20. Candidature is quite large.

As for your question. I'm not sure really. Hard to tell.

I know someone at my school who came first in the state for Business studies in 2005 (he is bos member called rench lol)

He got 98 as his HSC mark...so if I assume that hsc mark >= raw mark (which is fair assumption), he probably got 98 for his raw mark.
I am not sure what he got in his trial...but he was certainly ranked first in biz..

Yeah I think 98 would have to be the raw mark, because I don't think they'd moderate business studies much (or at all).

Ye that's what I reckon.

I would assume that 98+ is required for top in the state for biz and about 96+ for state ranks.

96 actually seems quite attainable - I think if you got ~ 96, you'd probably be 15-20th out of the state.
