Why is there, on every forum I visit, at least three religious debate threads?

Do Religious people like to brag? Same for non-religious people.

Why do we have the undying need to flaunt our beliefs?

it could be seen as a personal attack, for someone to speak against your beliefs
this sparks anger and pride in defence

i guess pride takes a big part in it

I've seen many threads that are simply created to start conflict between the two sides. And it seems that the OP's aren't defending anything, they are claiming that their beliefs are better and often try and force them upon others.

i find it sad, because to me an op should be close to bias, or atleast not flaming in there own thread!
