Hydrogen ion concentration at a pH of 8.6 = 10^-8.6
Hydrogen ion concentration at a pH of 10 = 10^-10

Therefore factor at which hydrogen ion concentration decreases = (10^-8.6) / (10^-10) = 25

Umm makes sense hydrogen ion concentration. I havent got time to look at it closely but anincrease in ph by 1 will increase H+ ions by 100. Do you have answers
please post them up. I want to have a look!

I don't have the answers, it was in the multiple choice online so i knew the answer from that, and then i looked up to see which year it was from
