i hope its in the 30s............... :(
Me too, but bloody unlikely!! lol!

30/84, non-attempt at binomial and q7 + fail everything else from q4 onwards
Exactly the same here. Except I think I'll get a 40 maximum.

I've been told that it [E4 band] was 41 for the 2001 paper, which i find piss easy compared to this paper.
Jeez, if thats the case I may get an E4... lmao

45-52/84=45/50
30-43/84=35/50

so ill go with anna =)
high 40's low 50's
Well if I got 40 raw (approx) then that should translate to... 35/50! I'm happy with that!! sweet!

you think about it, ive done all past HSC's from 1992-2008... this was one of the harder ones... 2003, 45-52/84=45/50
thats all i need to think, your turn. =P
I have a supporter, hurrah :D
Stats don't lie ;)

I'd guess 78+/84
Yeah, what i was hoping for but i got smashed lol.

Just what exactly are you basing this on? A hunch? Instinct? Intuition?

ok...from my experience last yr, i got a high e3, but i'm sure i only got around 50-ish% in the actual hsc exam. but this year's paper was easier and it's usually relative to the difficulty of the paper, so e4 cut-off might be high 50's-60/84 i suspect.

btw...what do you think mid-to-high 60's/84 will be scaled up to? lower e4?

I would think the mark for an E4 would be lower this year. This year's paper wasn't hard, but it was time consuming compared to other papers (95-08) so I think probably mid to high 50s.

come on, think people. they just dont give out E4's for no reason, it will be low to mid 60's, there not going to give people E4s who barely passed, sure i had troubles with question 6 and parts of 7, but the first 60 marks were, in most cases a given, if people aced the first 4 questions thats 48 marks, THINK ABOUT IT, just cos u want an E4 dosent mean the board of studies will give you one. i think i got 67/84, and im hoping i can scrape into and E4, but is thinking E3
yeah man i'm with you. in going back through the paper, i think i got mid to high 60's as well. That was a fairly hard test, and I have done a LOT of past papers. I usually average around low-mid 70's in the past hsc papers, but I know I won't get that in this one. No way will E4 be as low as mid 50's, surely. Cos there just wasn't anything challenging in 1-4, 5 was very doable, the projectiles in 6 were fine, and 2/3 of 7 was fine. IMO. I may just get a E4 raw mark. but yay school mark will drag me up.

man question 6, the second page of it....OUCH is all i can say.

So many noobs :chainsaw:

It's a fricken logarithmic function, not linear. Go take a look at the technical arena ><"

the paper was super easy compared to past years. def high 50.

Q 1-4 was like total give away marks.
Q 5 was easy
Q 6-7 were okay.
