I did 15 in my prelim year. This year, I've dropped economics and taken on 4U english. So still doing 14 units.

BEST CHOICE OF MY LIFE HOWEVER!!

Ext 1 and 2 English have less class time together than economics, which gives me a few frees a week. Because I love English so much, it's not very stressful for me.

So, bottom line is?

A few extra units don't hurt. And if they're extension units, and you learn how to balance everything out, it can work out really well. :) I like the security of knowing that if something goes drastically wrong in my HSC year and I bum out on a subject or two, I'll have back-up. :)
And also keeping options available for uni.

Yes, that too!

Another thing about me dropping economics and doing 4U English was the fact that I want to go on and be a primary school teacher. And I figured I'd be more likely to teach children fundamental English skills rather than how the economy is and how supply and demand (blah blah blah etc etc) works. :D

Oh yes, I should add I'm doing 16 and I'm doing two hours of homework and study per night. I am dropping something... maybe Physics.

I figured that since we take a very similar subject selection, that you might be able to tell me which subject you are you thinking of dropping..
I'm tossing up between economics and legal studies. Top rank both subjects, economics boring and i bludged prelim economics. Legal studies ..very interesting, enjoy this subject..scaling not so good.

Dont do more than 12 units u fuk tarts. Yea it might be easy now but when all the assessments, and exams start to come your goin to end up killing urself. I did 12 units and its shit cause i konw that one of my subjects wont count so it seems like a waste of time.

12-13+ units and hsc equals bad

Having a back up is not the only reason for doing 14 units you know.

Well, it all depends on the person. Some people can handle the pressure with super motivation and awesome self-discipline and freakishly good time management and always do all their work and ace their exams and they never go on facebook or procrastinate on sites like this. Unfortunately for me, I'm not one of those people, but I juggled 15units for most of year11 and am doing 14 right now. And I'm still alive! Actually, I'm thinking of dropping german, but that's mainly because my teacher still hasn't sent this term's work yet and I don't know if I can be bothered =\

Also, if you're going to call us fucktards for doing 12+ units, at least spell it properly.

I'm perfectly happy with 12 units. Who wants to do more units? You are either not confident in you subjects or insane.

i would drop legal, coz i love economics. but if you're good at both, then drop legal coz eco scales better

I've changed my mind so many times already. I'm dropping both then. No more decisons.
