Nah he just want to come and do the usual stuff e.g. ask about texts, subjects, scaling etc but he's scared of posting.

Cyberbullies are bad yes, but what it all really comes down to is just a bunch of nameless, faceless things. If your friend doesn't like what people are saying, it's so easy to ignore them!
I wish I could say something that would convince him to post but I can't really think of anything. Other than telling him, as I believe someone else has mentioned, that there are lots of nice people on bos and we're here to help (=

Maybe I should get my friend to apply for a moderator. Then he can bann anyone who cyberbullies him. ajdlinux what crietria do you have to meet to become a moderator?

Being an experienced member and having good reasons are a start - you can't just become a mod for self-defence.

Realistically if he stays out of the Non-School forums and doesn't act like a complete idiot, it's fairly unlikely he'll experience any cyberbullying, and any one-off or random abuse can be dealt with fairly quickly by mods.
