never said that, your just inventing shit. "naughty" websites is what i said.
I'm not inventing shit because you quoted something that TALKS ABOUT CHILD PORN.

And ok not child porn? Pornography can be filtered by parents already through programs such as NetNanny or some shit.
Lauchlan seems to be the most effective troll on bos these days, I find this to be rather sad.
Don't mistake stupidity for trolling.

Nor should people start using it as an excuse for their stupidity.

hypothetically it will stop children from getting access to these websites should they get curious and type something "naughty" in. if thats not good enough for you then too bad.
Who the fuck, other then children, uses the word naughty to describe something disturbing. Just to play with your mindfuck ill use the word naughty so you can understand us all a lot better.

Google already blocks Naughty Stuff. Nearly every search engine does this. Local ISP's already block Naughty Stuff. If the government has found more of these Naughty sites they should hand the fucking list to ISP's and the AFP so they can block and monitor these sites.

The filter Stephen Cockride is trying to implement fails at blocking these sites, and blocks legitimate LEGAL sites such as Health Issue websites and Euthanasia sites. The information given on these sites are RC, not banned outright. RC generally means it can not be sold in Australia. Since these sites are not selling anything i can not fathom how they could be banned.
Legit Pornography sites are being blocked as well. It makes no sense, unless you tie in the fact Conroy is a Christian in charge of something that effects everyone, then it makes absolute sense:
HE IS CHRISTIAN, THEREFORE ALL PORN IS AGAINST THE WORD OF GOD. Or some tripe like that.

Google, the most used Search engine in the world, has a safe search built in. The kid would have had to turn the default safe search settings off so they can view the stuff. And dont go saying "Oh any word will bring up porn sites." Melinda Tanakard Reist, quite frankly the most retarded person to hit the internet bar you, tried saying searching Blue Orchard will bring up porn. I did it with safe search OFF and it still came up with Wikipedia links and their equivalents.

Please, grow the fuck up and see what is happening. The filter is a giant hole. It doesnt work, sites will be blocked, proxies will start appearing everywhere, the Government controlling it will have access to options to block opposition websites and the CP creators, distributors and users will still have free reign on MOTHERFUCKING P2P NETWORKS!.

i never said i was for steven conroy's filter. you should think and read my comment carefully before you post. like many others, i agree with a working filter (hypothetically).

you wasted your time because i tl;dr'd that.

your not telling me anything i dont already know.

also, i dont think rudd will let conroy carry this through. just like the liberal's paid parental leave policy, it will disappear without trace.

No such thing as a working filter.

And no one will take you seriously if you hold the mindset that long paragraphs are to hard to read.

There is no such thing as a working filter in existence today. You cannot effectively filter this kind of shit off the internet. Why can you people not understand. The evidence is there, the studies are there, the opposition from all these organisations is there, including fucking Google, and even opposition from AMERICA - which is a big fucking deal - is there.

Australia on Internet censorship watch list | Open Internet

How embaressing is that.
Very true.

This is VERY worrying. Rudd is not getting my vote this election, that's for sure.

Me neither. Not too happy with abbott but I don't really care, it'd take a lot to outdo net filtering.
show me a statement for rudd saying he is focussed on the net filter policy.
he isn't.

What the fuck does that have to do with anything? Is it something the Rudd government wants to put in place or not?
he's lost the debate and is finding any way he can to make up some idiotic point

Have you heard a statement from the PM saying exactly that? I know I haven't.

It is his Government, thus it is his policy.

You are 16, please get a clue very soon or we are doomed.

Translation: No, I haven't heard this announced as a policy for implementation.

Have you heard an announcement by Conroy or do you know of it will be introduced as a policy into the lower and upper houses?

You just don't know these things - therefore all your doing is making assumptions.

I think this is pretty obvious, Lauchlan, that it is a policy of the Labour Government, which has been put under the rug for now. Because they know it's not a popular policy, and they want to win the election.
Get your facts straight.

The Government plans to introduce controversial internet filtering legislation later this year, heightening suspicions it won't happen before the next election.
key word here is suspicions because thats all they are.
