This is taken from the Universities (Overall) Rankings:

UNIVERSITY Aus World
Australian National University 1 (17)
University of Sydney =2 (=36)
University of Melbourne =2 (=36)
University of Queensland 4 (41)
Monash University 5 (45)
UNSW 6 (47)
University of Adelaide 7 (81)
University of Western Australia 8 (84)
Macquarie University 9 (182)
RMIT 10 (223)
University of Technology Sydney 11 (232)
La Trobe University 12 (241)
Curtin University of Technology =13 (=244)
Queensland University of Technology =13 (=244)
University of Wollongong 15 (251)
Flinders University 16 (254)
University of Newcastle 17 (266)
Griffith University 18 (291)
University of South Australia 19 (295)
University of Tasmania 20 (326)
Deakin University =21 (=355)
James Cook University =21 (=355)

Macquarie fell from 7th last year due to their declining performance and expenditures. UTS rose from 17th to 12th due to increase in students and development in classes/organization/tech. UWS didn't even make this list....

An again in terms of law school rankings, Macquarie is ranked 9th, whilst UTS comes in at an unexpectedly low 12th place. UWS again, didn't even make the grade in the Top Law Schools list.

Macquarie Law used to be good, but due to their hefty expenditures in the recent years, the teaching quality, and the resources may have dwindled - which explains why they've been dropping in ranks. Nonetheless, Macquarie is still a good university, whether you study law or not, as attested to in its rankings. In NSW (excluding Canberra) it's ranked as the 3rd best University, which seems like a good effort to me.

People often assume Macquarie is not that great due to ATARs and rumours.

Dude do u really understand this ranking? Get the fact that MQ's always in the Top 200 of TIMES but our Vice Chancellor's always announcing that his desire is 2 lead the Uni to top 200, and it's the ranking of SHJT. So to be consistent with out respected Vice-Chancellor, we can conclude that MQ is 200-300, due 2 SHJT's ranking. TIMES's have received much more criticism than the SHJT's.

UTS even let a just graduated from High school to attend their law course, so I don't think it's good at Law. About Law ranking, u can find at least 4 or 5 rankings that's not formal and the assessment criteria of them may be very confusing and misleading (like the 40% weight of total assessment of Peer Review used by TIMES, one of the reasons leading to the substantial change every year in its rankings).

Nonetheless, MQ is good and deserves to be in top ten in Australia, coz Oz Unis are not like ppl's thought (and be worse every year), not because it's so good.

This isn't from TIMES it's from the Australian Education Network.......
And these stats for Macquarie are repeated in their handout book for 'New Students' :D

Again, not Times.

So which one is a good choice 4 a LLB?
You asked a question and I answered it with a ranking chart from AEN, so stop criticizing people's responses. Did you want help or not?
