For guys, would you expect/make your wife wear a burqua or hijab ?

For girls, would you wear a burqua or hijab of your own free will?

No offence intended, its just a random question that i was curious about...

I mean its possible to dress conservatively without covering your face i guesss?!?!

Discuss. :bat:

Okay, this might be getting a bit too personal... But would your families accept you bringing home a non-muslim?

seeing as how i'm not a muslim,
and i'm not marrying a muslim wife

then why would i expect her to wear that?

you should of put a disclaimer in the thread topic

' practicing muslims only: Qn to the modern day Muslim youth... "
hijab is not exclusively muslim.

google: "jewish headscarf"
"russian orthodox headscarf"
mary wore a headscarf etc.

to the OP: my parents are muslim and no they wouldnt allow me to bring home a non-muslim but i dont care.

I actually think you should have made a thread about conservative/modest clothing in the opposite sex, that would have been waaaay more interesting.

hijab as the term is exclusive to muslims.

A hijab or ḥijāb (Arabic: حجاب, pronounced [ħiˈdʒæːb]/[ħiˈɡæːb]) is both the head covering traditionally worn by Muslim women and modest Muslim styles of dress in general.

yeah okay
but hijab simply means 'cover'

so it isnt that out of the question that a nonmuslim man would want his non-muslim wife in one

I know an agnostic (born christian orthodox) guy that wants a wife who wears a hijab
