Hey guys, I'm really not sure what to think of the two and quite confused to be honest. When my internal assessment marks are sent into board of studies which are my raw marks do they do get moderated afterwards or something?? I'm trying to figure out my atar with the calculators but they say HSC marks so i guess theyre scaled.

I do pretty scale-friendly subjects (4maths, 3 eng, chem and phys) so when i'm getting like 75% in my english adv, does that correspond to something more when they are sent in??

Thankyou.:cold:

Your initial assessment marks which your school sends in are unmoderated and unaligned. The BOS then moderates the marks using your cohort's raw exam marks, then that mark is aligned to the band standards in the same way as the exam marks - does that make any sense? :/

Is that a 70 raw mark, moderated mark, the mark they give you on your report, or what? ;D

You can't tell - if there was some simple conversion table, they wouldn't have to do moderation. The whole point of the process is to account for the differences in the way different teachers grade students.
