I have to decide my subjects and am really confused on what to take up. The only subjects that i have decided on are: English Advance and 3U Maths
I need 4 other subjects, and am completely undecided, the subjects i have in minde are:

Chemistry
Physics
Business Studies
Economics
Enngnering Studies
Software Design and Development

out of these 6 which 4 would you select for me, i want to maximise my atar, as much (Atar aim -> 94 - 95). My bio is that, i am good at numbers, have logical thinking, creative. My most highley scored subject is Maths. I would like 1 subject to do with a bit of pracs.
My academic background is, i am extremely good at business studies in yr 9 and 10, But am thinking economics, Chemistry and Physics and i am above average, but can get tutoring later on, to increase my skills, i am good with application of to create using software in computers, and people suggested me ennginering studies because it is a bit of maths and physics.
Thank you

Chemistry
Economics
Engineering Studies

I do Physics and Engineering, both are great subjects but Physics can be difficult. Chemistry I've been told is fun but difficult and Economics has a fair bit of writing.

dude, do economics. it sounds like you'll enjoy it and you've already done a social scene elective in the past, which is good. economics also scales really, really highly and if you want to "maximise my atar" then econ is for you.

but it is a difficult subject and there are lots of concepts you must digest to be able to achieve in economics, it's a lot of work. i don't study for anything on a daily basis, except economics. just reading over my notes and things like that. it definitely helps but if you don't do things like that, you will struggle.
It definitely is a difficult subject, there are a lot like seriously A LOT of concepts that you need to learn but once it makes sense they all pretty much link together.

Firstly it is possible to get a good ATAR with any combination of subjects as long as you perform well in the respective course.

Awesome attributes, well since your competent in maths then choose physics and engineering studies. Year 9 and 10 business studies might not correlate to the HSC syllabus, but from what I've read you can do very well in this subject.

Note that in my school and maybe in many other schools, business tends to put some weird spell on you and makes you sleep or feel sleepy when doing it

It's not rubbish though, so no.

The reason why people who do those subjects tend to get shitty ATARS is because they are usually the underperforming or less capable students.

I know more then a few people who have done general maths or CAFS, either that or no maths or sciences and gotten over 95. One who got 99.15.

Depending on how the school does it, you would place those subjects as preferences. Depending on how the lines then fall, you might have some clashes to choose between.

If I were you though, and depending on how mathematically inclined you are, I'd suggest Physics, Chem, Eco and then maybe Engineering. I don't do any of those subjects though (I do know some people who do a few of them though), so only take what I said first as advice from experience.

Just remember - you'll need to balance the workload.

I and everyone else declines to accept your bet as there is a high chance you are not in possession of money to the sum of 1 million dollars.

yes thats great, find me someone with that exact combination, even if they get 100% on ALL their subjects it will still get scaled down so they get like 95 ATAR ( if they are lucky)
