I figure I'd use the General forum since the previous posts have been lost...

Anyway, I put B Adv Science at Macquarie as my number 4 preference. And other than I think almost all of my science teachers and my maths teacher graduating from there - I'm not sure about the state of the modern faculty there.

So... is Science at Macquarie any good? I was thinking of majoring in mathematics there.

They have the best Actuarial Science program in the country.

Looking at the units I'd put them under ANU's advanced stream - they are quite close to USyd and UNSW in terms of material but I personally haven't heard of any staff from there. They'd be better than UWA for what that's worth.

It depends on which 'science' you're interested in =)

The 'mathematics' branch of science =P

I was thinking of filling the rest of my "credit points" (or whatever they're called) with units of chemistry mostly.

And I think the general sentiment here is "lolUWS" anyway, studentleader!

I think any units in maths will interest me. Though I'm not sure if I'm more into the Pure, Applied, Financial or Statistics streams of it.

Besides, from what I've read - the units in advanced maths are just the same ones you would do in normal maths but with an "Advanced" chucked in the front of it - of course, talking via name only. I always try for the more difficult stuff anyway. With mixed results.
