Well-known as one of the more restrictive filters, but I think this is simply lunacy from them (demotivator made by my friend).

And, to make things worse, we need to use the site in IPT!
(although, oddly, other parts of the site are accessible, depending on the time of day)

Ok, I have an idea, could you leave your computer at home on and connect to it via remote desktop and use that instead?

Use a TAFE account to login to the internet. Solves the problem for most sites.

Yeah, but many people dont have a tafe account. But those who do, someone in the grade decides to change the password...grrrr. Use a proxy or let your teacher surf the net on your computer and distracted them so they forget to press the unremembered button.

Somehow my school managed to block 99.9% of proxy servers. It was a dark day indeed.

Most would just keyword search for the term proxy I imagine.

https, instead of http, is enough to bypass the filter on occasion.

99% if the time a proxy won't work, the only one where you can possibly get a result is through the google proxy: http://www.google.com/xhtml

I used a proxy (at the time) beanonymous.org.. It was blocked the next day.

Remote Desktop will not work either, this is because;
a) Popular things like LogmeIn are blocked.
b) Things like teamviewer (portable) require a certain level of priviledges to access the required network permissions and
c) If your computers are like ours, you can't install anything on them (unless of course you have your own laptop).

if this is one of the laptops then you can put a new Hard drive in then you install safari or FF then you can configure it to use your home internet.

My school uses Fortiguard. Its so silly but if you log in as a teacher then you can literally view anything you want... Even bad things.

Our school is too stupid to block anything.

We have a broken wireless system in the school and no staff member knows how to fix it.

Proxies never work that long. Once you find one it's usually blocked by the next day. Probably because everyone tells each other.
