I'm undertaking subjects which i personally think they are quite easy, but i still hope there is some chance for me getting a decent atar.

The order would be: Subject / Ranking in class / Trial marks

ESL - 1/10 - 81 mrks
General Maths - 3/30 - 75 mrks
Ancient History - 1/11 - 83 mrks
Legal Studies - 2/12 - 76 mrks
Tourism and events - i havent got the ranking for this but i think i could get about 75 mrks

My school is about the 300ish

Thank you

I'm not to sure on the scaling of some of your subjects, but if I had to hazard a guess I'd say around 80ish.

Does my ranking in class affect my atar? i mean does it help to raise my atar to any extent? Because the guys in my classes arent doing very well. i think most of them gave up, only a few that actually are studying.

Your internal marks are all about your rankings. The raw percentages really dont matter very much (they are only used to determine the relative gap between you and your competitors)

So if i try to keep my rankings in class as high as they are now, they would be beneficial to my atar somehow? I aim to get atar around 85, does anyone have any idea how much hsc mark i need to get to safely have an atar of 85? Some told me atar is always lower than hsc marks. I want to get to uts business course, and now im already a bit desperate.

Yes, try to keep your rankings as high as possible. If you want to find out what marks equal what ATAR, try using an ATAR calculator, they are usually pretty accurate. Just type in ATAR calculator on google and you will get a few options. Matrix, Einstein and Talent 100 are the three most prominent ones.

I did as what u said, i calculated my atar thanks to the Matrix one, and the atar of legal and tourism turned out terribly low. I asked my legal teacher and she tried to persuade me that it's not going to be that bad. Anyway, if would be happier if anyone else could give me a vision into my marks. And thank you enoilgam :)
