My school doesn't give ATAR estimates and I don't trust any of the calculators because they tend to inflate marks without considering ranking :S But I still want a rough ATAR idea so I can have better idea in doing my UAC application since i'm not really sure what I want to do and am aiming for generic courses. Hope you guys can help

Chemistry 5/54
Maths 2u 5/90
English Adv 12/97
Legal studies 3/40
Eco 1/31

NB. I'm not 100% certain about chem and maths but they're my rough guesses

school rank was 71 last year and 125 in 2006. We tend to fluctuate S:
As for the cohorts, very strong in English. as for chem, eco, legal and maths, not the best, but not the worst either

Assuming your school is ranked around 71, I'd say between 96-98. At the moment, I'd say you would get band 6's in all your subjects except maybe english (I reakon you might just scrape 90 on the dot).

btw how do you find UNSW? I feel so pressured into going USYD because most of my friends are focused into getting into health sciences, but I don't know, I'm leaning towards UTS or UNSW :S any opinions?

In your opinion, do you feel that unsw courses are more practical and in touch with the current job market? :S I know that's a bit of a dodge question since it's different for everyone and the particular fields but just in general as a student at the uni, do you feel there's decent graduate employment prospects?

Uhh, I don't know about that. I'm just a first year. We haven't done any of those practical stuff though I do know the university offers opportunities for jobs and internships and the like.
